CWUYouth – Standing for the Committee
October 15 2015As we come towards the end of this executive year, there’ll no doubt be some of you who are considering standing for election to the national CWU Youth Committee.
I would encourage anyone who feels that they could do the role to put their names forward with the agreement of their branch. If you are considering standing for election, I would recommend that you familiarise yourself with the roles and responsibilities of being a Committee member.
Whilst CWU Youth is a great body in which you can develop your skills and knowledge of the Union, but it is also a very serious part of the CWU. As a Committee member you’ll be expected to take decisions which will influence and direct CWU Youth now but also in the future. You’ll need to think of the bigger picture and be willing to learn as you progress.
