BRIEFING TO ALL BT BRANCHES WITH MANPOWER MEMBERS

Dear Colleague

Manpower Pay Increase in Voice Services

Manpower has written to the CWU informing that they have been reviewing current rates of pay within Voice Services with BT and will be awarding a 6.25% pay increase for all PBA team members, which will result in a new hourly rate of £8.50 an hour with immediate effect.

The CWU welcomes this increase for our Manpower members working in Voice Services as the CWU has consistently argued that the current pay rates are unacceptably low.

However, the union continues to maintain that at the very least Manpower should be paying the real Living Wage which is currently £8.75 an hour and that our main objective is to see the cessation of PBA contracts as our members deserve the BT rate for the job.

It will be our intention to continue to make representation to Manpower and BT regarding all current Manpower rates of pay as well as campaign on the wider issue.

Any queries should be addressed to Sally Bridge sabridge@cwu.org

Yours sincerely

Sally Bridge

Assistant Secretary
