Durham Miners Gala – Big CWU Campout – Durham Saturday 12th July
The CWU National Young Workers Committee will be making their presence felt and joining the CWU bloc at the Durham Miners Gala; the biggest gathering of trade unionists in Europe.
You can come along for the day or book camping for the weekend where our young workers are setting up CWU Campout!

Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival – Big CWU Campout #2 – Dorset 18th – 20th July
The CWU Young Workers Big Campout will be shifting locations to Tolpuddple in Dorset for the annual Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival where members of our Young Workers National Committee will be helping out for the weekend.
The festival includes live, music, talks and seminars centered on commemorating the struggle of the Tolpuddle Martyrs who’s deportation for attempting to set up a farmers combination in the 1830’s sparked resistance which played a role in the birth of modern trade unionism.

AUGUST
National Young Worker Education Event Friday 29th August – Sunday 31st August, Quorn Grange Hotel Quorn – including Branch Young Worker Officer Forum
A weekend of education and discussion starting with our Branch Young Workers Officer Forum on Friday, followed by our annual education event on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will include chance to meet up with leadership teams from Telecoms, Postal & Tech, workshops on a range of topics including challenging the far right, organising young workers and of course out annual mock conference. Saturday night will include a dinner and social sponsored by the CWU Regions.

NOVEMBER:
CWU Young Worker Conference 2025 – Wednesday 5th November – Manchester, Mechanics Club
Annual young workers conference bringing together young workers from across the union to debate and vote on policies and issues that matter to young people both inside and outside the workplace.
All branches can submit motions to the conference and send young delegates (aged 30 or under) along. More information and timelines will be circulated by head office well in advance. If would would like to be kept up to date or receive further information, please sign up here.
A networking and social event will be held in the Mechanics Club the evening before conference on 4th November, kindly sponsored by the North West Region.
