TUPEs to take place for ISS members working on BT Facilities Management contract, union says
Telecoms & Financial Services, Technology, CBRE, ISS February 4 2026
Nearly 800 employees working predominantly as housekeepers and security guards at BT will have their rights safeguarded in a facilities handover, the CWU has said.
The union has been told that CBRE UK have now been officially appointed BT’s facilities management partner.
This decision, which becomes effective from April 1st 2026, covers cleaning services previously provided by ISS, Peartree Cleaning who provide services at BT HQ and OCS who provide services at the BT office in Birmingham moving to Excellerate Services UK Limited and static security guard roles transferring to SecuriGroup Limited. It will also see some members being moved via TUPE transfer to employment with CBRE.
As such, the CWU will now be heading into consultation for four TUPEs where consultation will take place on any proposed changes or alterations that the new contractors will foresee.
That includes all issues from contractual terms, conditions of employment, benefits and other non-contractual policies.
CWU national officer Tracey Fussey said: “We urge all members to keep their eyes out for further updates as the weeks progress and join planned online meetings’.
“Additionally, as the transition begins, we also urge members to encourage non-members to join the CWU, and to not hesitate to get in touch with the union with any further concerns.”
