Tesco Mobile Capita Partnership Pay Review 2019 – TUPE Population – Ballot Result

Dear Colleague,

The CWU consultative exercise for the Ex-Telefonica TUPE population within the Tesco Mobile Capita Partnership (TMCP) Contract pay offer for 2019 closed yesterday.

We can now advise you that the final offer to provide a consolidated pay increase to the Ex-Telefonica TUPE population of 2% applied to the rates of pay as 31 December 2018 has been accepted by 57% of members who voted.

A letter has been sent to TMCP advising them of the outcome of the ballot in order for them to make preparations within Finance for the increase and arrears to hopefully go into March salaries.  We are awaiting confirmation that the increase will be paid in March salaries.

Clearly this is a very narrow decision indicating that members are very unhappy with the offer but not quite ready to enter a formal dispute. The letter being sent to management will be seeking a meeting to discuss the outcome of the ballot.

The 2% pay increase will be implemented across the board on pay and allowances and will be back dated to 01 January 2018.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in the ballot.

Any queries can be addressed via your local representative at cwuprestonbrookandbury@gmail.com or sent to the office of Brendan O’Brien on ldefontaine@cwu.org.

Yours sincerely
