Dear Colleague
Telefonica Pay Review 2019
The CWU met with Telefonica on 17 January 2019 to open negotiations on the 2019 pay review that covers all General Population grades in Telefonica.
The CWU has submitted a claim for a significant consolidated pay increase which flows through to all allowances including pay and pension.
At that meeting the business gave a presentation on their pay review approach that has been established over recent years and that continues to focus on
- affordability
- how pay is benchmarked against the market.
Other key factors that were discussed were the economy and the current volatility of the pound/inflation, the potential impact of Brexit, as well as key challenges in the industry.
The CWU presented their claim for a significant pay increase which takes into consideration the cost of living and the contributions that our members have made during the last year. The company agreed to consider the case and claim made by the CWU and we will keep you updated as developments occur.
